Four services, and the honest order to do them in.

Website, SEO, Google Ads, lead generation. Each one is quoted on its own and each one can stand alone — but they're worth more in sequence than in parallel, and the sequence isn't the same for every business.

Start here if

You know something needs to change but you're not certain which of these is the thing that's actually holding you back.

Book a 20-minute call and find out

The foundation, and usually the right first move. Every other service sends people to your website, so a weak one taxes everything downstream — the ads cost more per enquiry, the SEO work converts worse, and the leads you do get arrive less convinced.

Do this first if: your site is more than four years old, was built on a page builder, takes more than three seconds to load on a phone, or has one page trying to sell five different things.

SEO

The slowest to start and the cheapest to keep. Organic and map-pack visibility compounds — the work you pay for in month one is still earning in year three — but nothing about it is quick, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you a rankings report rather than a business outcome.

Do this first if: your site is decent, you're invisible for the terms your customers use, and you can wait two quarters for the payback.

From £450 a month Monthly 6-month horizon

The fastest to start and the most expensive to get wrong. Ads buy you demand today and, more usefully, they buy you data — within a few weeks you know which search terms actually turn into enquiries, which is exactly what the SEO work should then target.

Do this first if: you need enquiries this month, your landing pages are already sound, and you have a budget that can absorb a learning period.

From £400 a month Plus media spend Results in weeks

The one nobody asks for and most people need. Everything above puts enquiries at your door; this decides how many of them become customers. It's usually the cheapest intervention on the list and the one with the shortest payback, because you already paid to generate the leads you're currently losing.

Do this first if: you're getting enquiries already and you can't confidently say what happens to each one after it arrives.

Where the money usually goes wrong

Two patterns account for most of the wasted budget I see in Lancashire. Both are avoidable and neither is anyone's fault.

Spending on traffic before fixing the destination

Ads and SEO are amplifiers. Point them at a page that doesn't explain what you do or make the next step obvious, and you amplify a page that doesn't work. The spend is real; the conversion isn't. This is the single most common reason a business tells me "we tried Google Ads and it didn't work."

Buying more leads to cover a follow-up problem

If a quarter of the enquiries you already get never receive a proper reply, doubling the budget doubles the waste rather than the revenue. Fixing the response and follow-up first makes every pound of future spend worth more — and it usually costs less than a month of ads.

Not sure which one you need?

Most businesses come to me for one of these and end up needing a different one first. A twenty-minute call is usually enough to work out which.

A 20-minute call. No deck, no pitch — we look at your site and your search results together. You leave with a written summary of what to fix first, whether or not you hire me. Prefer to type? hello@fielding.digital
